Marina - early bird

No change on the scale today. At this point, while it's not impossible to reach my goal of 10 lbs by the conference, I'd say it's very unlikely. Have 3.7 lbs to go.

Had to get up really early this morning to get everything done before work. Walked the dog in the dark, fed the dog and the cats, took the dog out again, cleaned up the kitchen, got in my cardio interval training, took the dog out again, had a shower, made breakfast and tea, dried my hair, cleaned up the kitchen again, took the dog out one last time, and put down the umbrella in preparation for high winds later today. It's a gorgeous day. Absolutely nothing to indicate that a hurricane is headed in this direction. Never did get around to making the bed, though.

While Francis doesn't need to lose any weight, he really should start trying to get fit and healthy, too. (I'd like to keep him around for a good, long time — most days.) And, in addition to exercising his body, he needs to start training his brain, as well. My husband has become Mr. Absent-minded. On Tuesday he filled the pool but forgot he was doing it and left the water running for hours and hours. When I went outside I saw the pool was way over-filled and turned of the water. I asked him why he filled it since a hurricane was coming and would be dumping a lot of water into the pool for free. He forgot. So, unbeknownst to me, he starting draining it. When I went outside yesterday I noticed the water level was much lower. Okay, I figured he drained out what he had just put in. However, an hour after the pump started this morning I began to hear this horrendous racket and went to check it out. Well, he forgot he was draining the pool and left town without stopping it, so the pool was still draining. It was WAY below the minimum water level, and my back yard is now very soggy with pool water. Of course, the hose was attached to the pump far too tightly for me to unscrew it with my bare hands, so I had to go find something to detach it with. Stopped the pump from draining more water and have refilled the pool, again. And, after fiddling around with the hose and the pump I ended up covered in biting fire ants! Francis is so lucky he's away right now. I told him that when he called about the text message I left him. I also told him he better add ginko biloba to the shopping list. He's got to do something about that memory! Sheesh!

Breakfast: One slice sprouted multi grain toast with natural peanut butter and Marmite. Jasmine green tea.
Snack: Cashews
Lunch: Nut crusted salmon and salad with avocado
Dinner: Slice of deli ham, slice of cheddar, tomato & garlic salad, 4 dolmatas
Snack: Cashews

1 hour 39 minutes total exercise today. 34 minutes MAX Workouts-Cardio intervals on the treadmill. 35 minutes walking (outside with the dog). 30 minutes on the bike. Total steps 12,207. Aerobic steps 7,958.

My in-laws picked me up after work and took me back to their place for dinner. It was a very nice evening. When I got back home, I discovered I didn't have my keys. It was pouring with rain and very dark so I had to empty everything out of my purse using my phone as a light. My poor dog was scratching at the door, and all the cats were lined up looking out the window. Why aren't I coming in? Had to call my in-laws to see if my keys were in the car. They were, and they drove back to drop them off. By the time the got back to my house it had stopped raining so I was able to take the dog out for a short walk. Busy day!
