Marina - Weekly curmulative

Down .9 lbs from last Monday. 4 lbs to go to reach goal. No change on the scale from yesterday. I'm actually really pleased about that. Ate too many refined carbs yesterday, didn't drink enough water and got no exercise, so I'm thrilled the number on the scale didn't jump up!

Breakfast: One slice sprouted grain toast with natural peanut butter and Marmite. Jasmine green tea.
After workout: Whey protein powder.
Lunch: Salad with chicken.
Snack: Macadamias
Dinner: Grilled game hen and onions red pepper and mushrooms
Snack: cashews/macadamias

2 hours total exercise today. 1 hour 15 minutes on the treadmill at 3% incline. 45 minutes MAX Workouts-Weights. 8,108 aerobic steps. 10,009 total steps

Today was day 1 of Level II workouts. OMG! I could not complete everything! For the last set of lunges with overhead presses, I could only do half the number of reps. I was short 4 reps on the last set of dumbbell plank with rows, too. 2-3 sets of the abs/core exercises are optional, but I always do them. These new ones, though? I couldn't do ANY of the three of them. And if anyone has any tips or suggestions, I'd love to hear them! The first two are on a stability ball. Couldn't manage to get my shins and feet on the ball, let alone alternating dropping one leg to the floor. Couldn't do the plank hold on the ball, either. Couldn't keep it in place. The final exercise was crossing one foot underneath your body in plank and twisting to reach your toes with the opposite arm. I fell over. At that point I decided to do crunches, leg lifts and pulleys. After those I did one set of one of the previous level's abs/core exercises. Then I tried shoving the ball up against the wall and holding plank. That was okay, but I don't think that's the way it's supposed to work. I've got three weeks of these abs/core exercises, three times a week. They don't change every time like the other exercises do, so I'm going to have to figure these out! It was a tough workout today. I think my face would have glowed in the dark.

Whey protein powder is supposed to help you build muscle and burn fat, so I thought I'd give it a try, starting today. I had baby breath afterwards.
