Marina - TGIF!!!

Down .2 lbs this morning.

It was raining when I took the dog for a walk this morning. It was a nice gentle rain. I don't think I've walked in weather like that since I left Vancouver. It was actually very pleasant, and much cooler than it has been lately. Didn't get up early enough to do everything I got done before work yesterday today, but at least I DID get the bed made this morning. :) Didn't get my workout in before work, though. Had to wait until lunch.

Breakfast: Kimchi and bacon omelette. Licorice tea.
Snack: Small bowl of strawberries. Jasmine green tea.
Lunch: Kimbap
Snack: Marinated hearts of palm
Dinner: Chicken and vegetables with spicy peanut sauce and soba noodles
Snack: cashews

1 hour 35 minutes total exercise today. 20 minutes walking the dog. 38 minutes on the bike. 37 minutes MAX Workouts-Weights. 2,333 aerobic steps. 5,641 steps.

The weights workouts on Mondays and Wednesdays are specific numbers of reps for specific numbers of sets. On Fridays, it's still a specific number of reps, but it's as many sets as you can do in 20 minutes. I'm tired today and didn't feel like I did as well at the time, but I did get in one more set than I did the first two weeks, so there's an improvement. :) I got in 7 sets of bench rows with a 20 lb dumbbell, but had to finish the last two sets with 15. Last week I did the first rep with a 15 and the other 7 with 20, and the first week I did all 8 with 15. I'm satisfied with that progression. I was also happy that I got through all the plank to reach and twists without needing a little break before I finished. Still collapsed after I was done, but that happens every time! New set of exercises on Monday. Wonder what they'll be...

Spent most of my day with slippers on my feet rather than my usual flip-flops. My flip-flops are the most comfortable footwear I own, but they're rubbing all the fire ant bites from yesterday, so wearing them is pretty painful.

Added lemon to water today. I really should do that more often. It's so refreshing. The organic, 100% buckwheat soba noodles I ordered arrived yesterday. They made for a delicious dinner! I had to order them online because no one around here sells any that are made with 100% buckwheat. Most of them are 80% wheat, so I was happy to find them online. Much more expensive, though, but they're a great option for reducing grain consumption.
